World-class single track routes, including the Gwydyr Forest trails and the Penmachno Trail, are right outside our door, with other classic trails at Coed y Brenin and Coed Llandegla only a short drive away. Our instructors are experts at tailoring their coaching to you, identifying your strengths and weaknesses and making sure you get the most out of your time with us.
Start: Plas y Brenin After a briefing and bike check, the ride leaves directly from Plas y Brenin and joins the old A5 beneath the dramatic cliffs of Moel Siabod. The early miles provide an opportunity to settle into the ride while taking in views across Capel Curig and the surrounding mountains.
Moel-y-Ci Café The first significant stop is the highly regarded Moel y Ci Café. This provides: Coffee and refreshments - Opportunity for battery check Route briefing for the mountain crossing ahead
Over the Hill to Llanberis Leaving the café, the route climbs up over the old bridle way or through the forest on moel y ci towards Llanberis.
Highlights include: Views of Yr Wyddfa Mountain passes and open moorland Historic quarry landscapes Quiet roads and tracks away from the main tourist routes
As the route drops towards Llanberis, riders enjoy a long scenic descent into one of Wales' most iconic mountain villages. Telegraph Valley From Llanberis the ride heads into the lesser-known Telegraph Valley. Often overlooked by visitors, this area offers: Outstanding views - Quiet trails - Historic links between Llanberis and Beddgelert Fantastic e-bike terrain The combination of rolling climbs and flowing descents makes this one of the most enjoyable sections of the day.
Beddgelert Forest The final stage enters Beddgelert Forest. Here the route becomes much more wooded and remote as riders enjoy: Forest roads - Singletrack sections - Views towards Moel Hebog - Classic Eryri forest scenery During autumn the beech and oak woodland provides some of the finest seasonal colours in North Wales.
Finish: Beddgelert
The ride concludes in Beddgelert. A Plas y Brenin minibus and trailer collect riders and bikes before returning to the centre.
This supported finish allows the route to remain a true journey rather than retracing tracks back to the start.
