Overview

Parents and their teens – either a single family group or shared friendship group. The mountains of the Eryri National Park offer a range of scrambling adventures. Well choose a route up one of the many ridges to suit both your family/ friendship group and the weather conditions.

The Objectives

Our instructor will devise an adventure to suit your family or friendship group to create a lasting memory of time spent together on an adventure in the Eryri National Park.

Itinerary

9:00am – Meet your Instructor

Meet your friendly, experienced Instructor at Plas y Brenin and get ready for a day exploring the mountains of Eryri. After a quick kit check and getting equipped for the day, your Instructor will introduce you to the plans and set off into the National Park.

Morning – Explore Eryri

Your Instructor will choose an adventure to suit your family, taking into account the weather, conditions and your experience. Follow mountain paths, discover hidden corners of the landscape and learn some new skills along the way, all while enjoying the spectacular scenery around Plas y Brenin.

Lunch – Refuel in the mountains

Stop for a picnic lunch and take some time to enjoy the views and recharge for the afternoon ahead. Residential bookings have packed lunches included. For Non Residential bookings, please bring your own lunch and snacks.

Afternoon – Adventure and discovery

Continue exploring the mountains together, with opportunities to develop your navigation, mountain skills and confidence in the outdoors. Your Instructor will tailor the day to your family, adding challenges and activities to make the most of the conditions.

By 5:00pm – Back to Plas y Brenin

Return to the Centre for a well-earned cup of tea and a slice of cake, followed by a relaxed debrief with your Instructor before heading home.

What to expect: A fun and adventurous day discovering the mountains of Eryri together, with expert guidance, stunning scenery and plenty of opportunities to try something new and create some great family memories.

Experience Required

We can tailor an adventure to suit most abilities. General fitness and a sense of adventure are all that is required.
