During the five days, we’ll develop the skills required to lead others in moderate conditions defined as grade 2/3 white water and large sections of open water where the paddlers are up to 500m from the shore and in winds up to force 4. We’ll ensure you leave the course with a clear picture of the assessment standards, what the assessments look like and a clear action plan towards your assessments. By the end of this training, you’ll be a more confident leader, possessing the necessary personal paddling, rescue, safety, leadership, and group skills required for the awards. This course brings you one step closer to becoming a Canoe White Water Leader and an Open Water Canoe Leader and equips you with effective leadership techniques and boat control in the moderate water environments.
