The Objectives

By the end of this course, you’ll have: Been trained and assessed in personal paddling, instructing, and rescue skills according to BCAB standards. Developed an effective strategy to prepare and engage groups in paddleboarding activities. Enhanced your skills in activity planning, including games and mini-journeys designed to inspire and educate. Gained valuable insights and practical solutions for common challenges in paddleboarding instruction.

Itinerary

Day 1: Foundations & Preparation Kick off the day with an overview of kitting up and getting afloat. Experiment with a variety of group activities, including engaging games and tasks. Explore and develop your instructing methods with supportive coaching from our expert tutors. Day 2: Advanced Skills & Final Assessment Delve into advanced techniques and top tips for quick fixes to common challenges. Learn how to select appropriate equipment for different participants. Investigate safety measures and deepen your understanding of deployment issues. Wrap up with an assessment to validate your newly acquired skills and proficiency. Whether you’re a seasoned paddleboarder looking to share your passion or a novice eager to master the sport, this course sets you on the path to becoming a certified BCAB Stand Up Paddle Board instructor.

Experience Required

Please refer to the BCAB skills check list here It doesn’t matter if you are relatively new to stand up paddleboarding or have existing experience; this course allows you to develop your existing skills and passion for paddlesport.
