Overview

Two day assessment in-line with the BCAB (British Canoeing Awarding Body) Canoe Leader assessment in the Advanced Open Water environment. You’ll be assessed on all necessary skills to a standard set by the governing body. This includes; personal paddling skills, leadership skills, rescues, technical knowledge and group management.

Equipment can be borrowed from our stores however we advise brining your own equipment and being comfortable in its practical uses as a leader.
How should I prepare?
Ensure you’ve been out in the environment and are comfortable and proficient both as a performer and as a leader before booking this assessment. Make sure all registrations have been filled in correctly with your Home Nation.
