Overview

If you like the idea of experiencing the thrills and spills of moving water, this 2-day white water kayaking course is a great introduction. Spend two days on some of the UK’s best white-water rivers learning and developing confidence in your new sport. You'll cover everything from foundation white water skills to clothing and equipment.

The Objectives

- You’ll spend two days out on the water learning practically.
- You will have the benefit of learning from expert coaches who have years’ experience on white water across the world and the highest coaching certification.
- Our aim by the end of the course is that you feel confident on white water, reading rivers, and getting out there yourself.

What to Expect

On day one, you'll spend time building your understanding, confidence and boat-handling skills. We'll use places like our rolling pool and our lake to cover these essential skills. During your course, you'll be using our extensive fleet of kayaks. Throughout day two, we'll visit other stunning local venues to enjoy all that Eryri (Snowdonia) has to offer as you continue to build on your new skills.

Experience Required

You should already be a confident flat water paddler with the ability to manoeuvre your craft with ease, and be able to perform a confident and controlled capsize.

What do I need to bring?
All you really need to bring is sufficient base clothing to wear, and some suitable footwear. Our stores have a wide range of Peak UK soft wear as well as paddles and poles. We have an extensive selection of different styles of kayaks from a range of manufacturers. This is an ideal opportunity to try something new if you'd like to. If you prefer the familiar, feel free to bring along your own kit.
How should I prepare?
You'll need to be fit enough to enjoy two days of activity and have kayaked previously.
