Overview

Experience the adrenaline of white water kayaking on this 2-day introductory course on some of the UK’s best rivers. On day one, you’ll learn the foundation skills and get familiar with the clothing and equipment. Your highly experienced coaches will guide you through every step, ensuring you build confidence and boat-handling skills. Day two takes you to stunning local venues in Eryri (Snowdonia), where you’ll continue to develop your new skills. You’ll explore everything Snowdonia has to offer as you gain practical experience out on the water. By the end of this hands-on course, you’ll feel ready to tackle white water on your own, fully equipped with the knowledge and confidence you need.

The Objectives

You’ll spend two days out on the water learning practically. You will have the benefit of learning from expert coaches who have years’ experience on white water across the world and the highest coaching certification. Our aim by the end of the course is that you feel confident on white water, reading rivers, and getting out there yourself.

Itinerary

On day one, you’ll spend time building your understanding, confidence and boat-handling skills. We’ll use places like our rolling pool and our lake to cover these essential skills. During your course, you’ll be using our extensive fleet of kayaks. Throughout day two, we’ll visit other stunning local venues to enjoy all that Eryri (Snowdonia) has to offer as you continue to build on your new skills.

Experience Required

You should already be a confident flat water paddler with the ability to manoeuvre your craft with ease, and be able to perform a confident and controlled capsize. You’ll need to be fit enough to enjoy two days of activity.
