Overview

We’ll spend two days on the lowland terrain that can be found in and around Eryri (Snowdonia). We create a positive and relaxed environment so that you’re able to perform at your best. We will assess you against the syllabus of the award whilst looking for opportunities to develop your skills when we can.

The aim is for you to enjoy the experience, improve your knowledge and have a fair assessment.

You’ll be assessed against the Mountain Training Syllabus during two full days out walking.

Experience Required

Before you book onto a Lowland Leader assessment, make sure you have done the following; Attended a Lowland Leader training course (or have been granted exemption) Familiarised yourself with the syllabus Logged a minimum of 20 walks in lowland countryside in different types of terrain (woodland, coastal, farmland etc) Have completed your consolidation period action plan Be at least 18 years old Have physically attended and completed (i.e. not online) a first aid course which involved at least two full days or sixteen hours of instruction and included an element of assessment.
