You'll be assessed on all aspects of rock climbing and mountaineering in summer conditions, in the UK and Ireland over five days. You'll need to demonstrate the skills, judgement and decision making covered in the Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor Award Syllabus to a team of assessors.

Generally the course is run on the following lines
Day One: Taking People Climbing
Day One Evening: Theory Paper
Day Two:Problem solving and improvised rescue
Day Two evening: Presentation
Day Three: Mountaineering Day
Day Four: Teaching Climbing
Day Five: Navigation
