Overview

If you’d like to push your grade, improve your technique and develop your confidence on rock then this two day course is for you. You’ll get top level training and coaching from our highly qualified instructors in all aspects of rock climbing, from bouldering to sport to trad. We know the area incredibly well; trust us to choose exactly the right routes for you.

Itinerary

Every course is unique as we tailor each one to the team and the weather, but this should give a flavour of what you might get up to:

Saturday

Informal welcome chat with our staff and your course members;
Decide which crag is best for the weather and focus for the day;
Break performance down to consider the TTPP model (technical, tactical, physical, psychological);
Go climbing and see where everyone’s at;
Take it from there: seconding, top roping, leading with a safety rope and leading as appropriate;
Coaching tailored to the individual;
Return to PYB for tea and cake!

Sunday

Get lots of climbing in;
A progression from the previous day, focusing on whichever areas you’d like to develop;
This could be a single or a multipitch crag, and sport or trad climbing;
Return to PYB for more tea and cake, and a fond farewell.

Experience Required

You should be confidently leading at VS or above, and be wanting to break into the next grade.

Push your grade, improve your technique and develop your confidence on rock with top-level training in all aspects of rock climbing, from bouldering to sport to trad.
