The Outdoor Risk Management (ORM) course is for people working in remote areas, coastal areas, upland terrain and/or unfamiliar terrain.

The Objectives

To provide knowledge and confidence, to give candidates the skills to identify hazards, work safely and deal with any incidents within remote environments.

What to Expect? We'll use a range of local venues (upland, moorland, and coastal venues) to cover the syllabus. The exact venues will be selected in response to the prevailing weather conditions. Syllabus areas include: Navigation, Weather for remote areas, Equipment for remote areas, Risk Assessments, Hazard recognition and Emergency Procedures.
